Atari Jaguar CD Attatchment (Add-On)
Atari Jaguar CD Shipping in September 1995 (above: the front box scan)
The Atari Jaguar CD , slated for release in Summer of 1994, had been delayed several times...
(Bad move for Atari!) The Jaguar CD was FINALLY released in Septemeber of 1995 at outlets such as
Electronics Boutique. The unit consisted of the add-on cd player itself, and 4 pack-ins!

Blue Lightning and Vid Grid (Rock Video Music Puzzles) were the games that gave the Jaguar CD even that
much more of an appeal! Then you have the audio soundtrack of Tempest2000 (That will simply stun you
played on the VLM) and a Demo Disc of Myst!

Not only do you get the JagCD Unit, the 4 Pack-Ins, but you also get the ever so famous Virtual Light Machine
built into the Jaguar CD unit (I simply can't put this into words how much I enjoy the VLM) The NUON now has
the V.L.M. as well, but I like the Jaguar CD's VLM the best!

And, at only $149.99  -  It was a deal to be had!

Atari Jaguar CD Games  (below: the back box scan)
Many games were planned for the Atari Jaguar CD unit, yet only a handful was ever released.
Games such as Battlemorph and Iron Soldier 2 gives a few good reasons to own this superb add-on!

Games like Brett Hull's NHL Hockey, Robinson's Requiem, Black Ice White Noise, Demolition Man and
Creature Shock are all titles that were planned but eventually cancelled when Atari left the videogame
business.  Even I was looking forward to a new and improved Alien vs. Predator CD they had been talking
about!

It's really ashame they took so long to release the Jaguar CD. Who knows, maybe there would have been
many more games released for the unit, but then again in any case, would this have helped the Jaguar in
general?  If Atari would have released the Jaguar CD in 1994 as planned, I do believe it would have had a
MUCH better chance then when releasing the Jaguar CD in late late 1995 (when PS and Saturn was showing
up in the scene)

Easily said, Atari didn't have their plans straight, and obviously didn't know what would happen to them if
they released this possible Jaguar saver a little too late.

Atari Jaguar CD Specs (below: side box scan)
Just look....  790MB of storage! Full-Motion Video (Did I mention the VLM?) =)
It is just an awesome add-on and for then such a great price!

I've noticed that the Jaguar CD access time / load times seems to be MUCH faster then those of the PSX for
those of you who may have compared the two. (Primal Rage CD doesn't count ;-) That's a hack job in itself!

Jaguar CD Virtual Light Machine!
81 Banks of different effects and morphs and screen particles bouncing around to your music!
Awesome! The effects of taking acid, well, without really taking acid ;-)
Virtual Light Machine (All 81 BANKS!)
Now this is where this page stands out (IMHO)!  For your pleasure of viewing, below a sample of all 81 banks!
